Meet the Screenwriter
BERT PIGG trained as an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. In his long career, he has appeared in or directed more than 150 plays.
His screenplay "Some Desperate Glory" is currently in competition and has been nominated for Best Screenplay at the 2024 European Cinema & Screenplay Festival and was a Quarter-Finalist at the True Story & True Crime Screenplay Competition.
His screenplay "The Assassin's Shadow" placed second in the Historical Division of the Beverly Hills Screenplay Competition and was a semi-finalist in the Screencraft Screenplay Competition.
He is the Executive Producer of the 2006 Lionsgate feature "Sea of Fear" and of the award winning short film "Texas Girl."
Bert holds a B.A. summa cum laude from Fordham University, a J.D. from Tulane University and an MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory.
Bert is married and is the humble servant of four cats and a dog.
